Their greatest hits and new songs live on 22.07.2023 at Salem Castle on Lake Constance

Following their successful tour, OneRepublic will return to Germany in 2023. They will present their greatest hits as well as songs from the studio album “Human” – a foretaste is offered by the live record “One Night in Malibu”. In July, the band from Colorado can be experienced in Salem. The story of OneRepublic begins in 1996 in Colorado Springs, when Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins meet in high school and form their first band together. After playing local gigs for friends and family, however, the two gravitate to different universities and lose track of each other in the meantime. By 2002, Tedder is already a successful songwriter and producer when the two meet again in LA. Immediately they form a band called Republic, write songs and are signed to Columbia Records only 9 months later – meanwhile completed by Eddie Fisher (drums), Brent Kutzle (bass & cello) as well as Drew Brown (guitar) and with a slightly changed name they work on their debut album for more than two years, only to be dropped by their record company two months before the planned release. Now you might think this setback would have been hard for OneRepublic to take, but instead it became the starting shot for an unparalleled rise. On the now historic platform Myspace, they rally more and more fans around them, becoming perhaps the most famous band without a record deal. Even producer and songwriter Timbaland, who at that time was an essential part of the pop business, was infected by the talent of the five, signed them to his own label and together with the band created a new version of the song “Apologize”, which as the first single of their debut “Dreaming Out Loud” was rather moderately successful in the original version. The completely new mixture of pop, rock and R’n’B hits the airwaves, is played on countless radio stations, movie soundtracks, TV series and commercials, and makes OneRepublic international stars practically overnight. The following singles “All the Right Moves”, “Counting Stars” and “Love Runs Out” also become global hits. With their five studio albums, countless concerts on tour and at festivals, television appearances, soundtrack contributions and lots of radio airplay, OneRepublic became a worldwide phenomenon. Awarded many times and adored by their fans, many of their songs are already classics.
