Daughtry – Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ March 2nd

Fans packed the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ on Wednesday March 2nd to rock out for hours. Daughtry (fronted by American Idol alum Chris Daughtry) is joined on their Dearly Beloved tour by Tremonti and Lyell. Everyone was treated to a variety of rock genres.

The night kicked off with a high energy performance by Lyell. The rocker from Rochester performed 2 of her singles “Potions” and “I’m Somebody Else.” She treated fans to several performances of previously unreleased music, including a song that will be featured in an upcoming Hulu movie and another she’s currently writing with Joywave.

Tremonti, the thrash metal band fronted by Mark Tremonti of both Creed and Alter Bridge took the stage next. Their rocking eight song set included three songs off their 2021 album Marching in Time: “If Not for You,” “Marching in Time,” and “Thrown Further.” They closed out their set with their 2013 hit and fan favorite “Wish You Well.”

Finally, Daughtry took the stage and tore the roof of the Wellmont Theater. Their fifteen song set included ten songs off their newest album Dearly Beloved. They kicked off the show with “Desperation” and “World on Fire.” Halfway through the show Chris slowed everything down and performed 2 acoustic songs: “Home” and “Cry For Help.” They closed out their set with a two song encore which included “Over You” and “Asylum.”
