GHOSTFUNK ORCHESTRA At Music Hall of Williamsburg
17 Nov 2022
Ghostfunk Orchestra!!!! This band continues to bend genres to their will and trust me it is very apparent they intend to keep on doing this in a very inimitable fashion. No truer evidence is out there than their current 3rd Release of “A New Kind Of Love”. This newest creation by bandleader Seth Applebaum could be best be described (by me, and I’m no authority) as a jazzy, funky, smooth film noire soundtrack, end of the day chill playlist, and most definitely an appetizer to late night goodies. But trust me, you’ll definitely come up with your own adjectives when you give it a good listen.
The set at Music Hall of Williamsburg was greeted by faithful fans of GFO and they were ready to get the party started. The band this evening was comprised of Seth Applebaum, on Lead Guitar, Joshua Park on Guitar, Jeremy Stoddard Carroll on Bass, Mario Gutierrez on Drums, Brian Plate on Flute, Billy Aukstik on Trumpet, James Kelly on Trombone, Stephen Chen on Baritone Sax, Romi Hanoch and Megan Mancini on Vocals.
The powerful and sexy power vocal dynamic duo of Romi Hanoch and Megan Matthew quickly brought the energy level way up with their harmonies. These ladies can belt out a tune and have you grooving and dancing in no time flat. The band quickly jumped into action with the ladies and the rest of the evening was epic. This band in my honest opinion is only going to get better and bigger and big things are gonna happen. World, get ready, Ghostfunk Orchestra is in the house!!!!
