Breaking Benjamin and Staind Descended Into Huntsville Alabama’s Propst Arena for Their Awaken the Fallen Tour

Huntsville Alabama’s Propst Arena was treated to the Awaken the Fallen Tour on Sunday night. This epic tour is co-headlined by two iconic bands – Breaking Benjamin and Staind (with Wage War and Lakeview as special guests).

Excited fans adorned in rock gear filled the arena, eager to rock along to all their favorite songs. Seats throughout the arena quickly filled. Looking around the arena, you could hear and feel the love from the fans towards the bands.

Lakeview

Lakeview opened the night and was the perfect way to start the night. This was my first time seeing them live and I am completely hooked with their country vibes mixed with incredibly fun rock beats. They played all of the fan favorites including “Home Team” and “Loser”.

Lakeview consists of members Jesse Denaro and Luke Healy. The group is self proclaimed as unapologetically blue-collared. In the middle of their set they told the crowd “If you didn’t come to see a country rock show… TOO FUCKING BAD!”.

Wage War

Second act to go on was the American metalcore band Wage War. The band formed in 2013 and consists of members Briton Bond (lead vocals), Seth Blake (lead guitar), Cody Quistad (rhythm guitar and clean vocals), Chris Gaylord (bass), Stephen Kluesener (drums).

Wage War came onto the stage bringing their full hardcore energy.  Their emotional vocals and extreme beats wired up the crowd even more.  Lead vocalist Bond expertly controlled the stage, demanding attention with his screaming vocals. The crowd fully enjoyed the band’s performance, banging their heads along.

They started their act with their song “Godspeed” and went into their catchy song “Low”.

Breaking Benjamin

Breaking Benjamin was next on the stage. Their set opened with a massive white curtain drop. The crowd’s anticipation for this band was insanely high.

Breaking Benjamin is an American rock band formed in 1999. Members include Benjamin Burnley (lead vocals), Jeremy Hummel (drums), Aaron Fink (guitar) and Mark James Klepaski (bass).

Their show started with the fan favorite “Failure”. Each song the crowd fully embraced and sang along. The arena pulsed with energy as the crowd reacted emotionally to the songs of their youth—hugging, dancing, and waving their arms, fully immersed in the experience. Favorites played included “Awaken” (also the tours Namesake), “Polyamorous”, “Without You”, “I Will Not Bow” and ended with “The Diary of Jane”.

Staind

Stand closed out the night. Their set opened with a massive black curtain drop.

Staind is an American rock band formed in 1995.  Members include Aaron Lewis (Lead Vocals and rhythm guitar), Mike Mushok (lead guitar), Jonny April (bass and backing vocals) and Sal Giancarelli (drums).

They opened with their hits “Lowest in Me” and went right into “Eyes Wide Open” and “Fade”. The energetic crowd jumped and screamed along. So much love emanated out from the crowd towards the stage. Staind brought to the stage their signature instrumentals and emotion packed lyrics. Lewis’s iconic raspy vocals were every bit as enthralling as when the songs were first released.

Nobody wanted the show to end. The night was the most epic and expertly fusion of musical styles. It was an energized and memorable experience for everyone lucky enough to attend.–
