Ricky Martin, Pitbull, and Enrique Iglesias brought The Trilogy Tour to Austin, Texas on February 9, 2024.

Martin was up first, he opened up his set with “Pégate”. He was beaming the entire time he was on stage which made him a joy to watch. His only song I knew before this show was “Livin’ La Vida Loca” which was the second to last song on his setlist, but since the show I’ve learned a couple more. Some people are just born to be performers and I think Ricky Martin is one of those people, he was just so much fun to watch.

Next was the artist I was most excited to see, Pitbull. He always has fantastic visuals and top-notch dancers and he knows how to bring the energy. After playing fan favorite, “Time Of Our Lives,” Pitbull gave a heartfelt speech about how important education is. He attended around twenty-five schools in his lifetime and never graduated high school but one of his teachers changed his life by saying, “I believe in you.” He needed to hear that. He wants kids with childhoods similar to his to have the opportunity to thrive in school so since 2013 he’s opened fourteen tuition-free charter schools across the country and wants to continue to do more. This made me gain a lot of respect for Pitbull, I liked him before but I love him now. He ended his set with “Give Me Everything” and anyone still seated got up to dance.

Enrique Iglesias closed out the show. I think Pitbull should’ve closed out the show because the energy during his set was unmatched and Iglesias’s set felt a little empty because he didn’t have any backup dancers. His set was still entertaining nonetheless. He opened up with an absolute banger, “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)” and he had gorgeous, vibrant visuals throughout the show. He also performed a few songs on a second, smaller stage, which was awesome. This gave people with further away seats an opportunity to see him up close.

Any one of the artists could’ve booked a headline arena tour on their own, so seeing the three in one night was a treat.
