Sandbars, Surfboards & Sunshine Kickoff a South Florida Summer
(West Palm Beach, Fla.) – SunFest 2023 is getting a makeover with a myriad of new tastes and flavors to try and novel sights to see on the reimagined waterfront festival grounds! SunFest 2023 will offer a food and beverage village, the newly introduced Sandbar as well as reimagined brand activations and Instagrammable spots.
“This year SunFest will be a new experience for all fans, even for those who have been going for years,” said Paul Jamieson, SunFest executive director. “We are excited to introduce the Sandbar which has a DJ and sponsor activations that create the perfect spot for hanging out between sets.”
The new Sandbar will include Instagrammable spots, live graffiti paintings and ready to drink samples brought to life by SunFest 2023 sponsors.

- Celsius Energy Drink: Chill pop up spot offering free samples
- The Palm Beaches: Share your love for The Palm Beaches brought to life with fun giveaways, photo ops, and the chance to win prizes
- Cantina: Enjoy samples of Diageo’s spirit-based cocktails in a can; trailer with built out photo wall and a live graffiti painting
- Stella Rosa Wine: Ready to drink wine samples with pop-up and photo opp wall
- Jack Daniels: Features the newly launched Jack and Coke with a 360 camera activation
- Ford: Chill in the Ford electric lounge while recharging batteries at the charging station
For the first time in the festival’s nearly 40-year history, SunFest 2023 has announced a new partnership with SWARM Event Concessions based in Miami. The new vendor will curate the food village at the waterfront music festival. The food concession company will feature a variety of cuisine, including its proprietary epicurean brands:

Aperol is returning in 2023 as the official Spritz of SunFest with a pop-up at the intersection of Datura and Flagler; the same spot as last year. Ford Beach House will be returning with a DJ and a chance to win SunFest upgrades.
Floating Barges – SunFest’s most famous dancing spots will return once again. Captain Morgan is introducing an updated atmosphere and specialty libations for these iconic SunFest venues. On Friday, May 5, we’re kicking off SunFest with a Cinco de Mayo celebration on the floating bars. Enjoy $5 drinks on the barges from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. featuring a DJ, VIP ticket raffles, giveaways and more! (The Floating Bars are only for guests ages 21 and over)
BYOBottle to SunFest – SunFest is a proud partner of the BYOBottle Campaign, a music industry effort to reduce plastic waste by promoting reusable water bottles and water refill stations at SunFest. SunFest fans are now permitted to bring their own, EMPTY refillable water bottle and water refill stations will be provided throughout the site.

WHAT TO BRING TO SUNFEST
Find Out What’s Allowed and Not Allowed Inside the Gates
(West Palm Beach, Fla.) – SunFest 2023 is just days away and fans are packing their bags in preparation! There are a few items that are allowed inside the gates and items that SunFest workers suggest fans leave at home.
“We are so excited to welcome fans back to the waterfront starting on May 5,” said Paul Jamieson, Executive Director of SunFest. “Whether planning to join us at the festival for one day or all three, we recommend fans pack light, bring sunscreen and a refillable water bottle to drink plenty of water while they’re enjoying themselves at SunFest.”
Items allowed inside the gates:
- Small bags/ backpacks no larger than 12” x 12” x 6”
- Non-glass, empty, refillable water bottles, cups or containers
- Food for infants or those with medical conditions in non-glass containers
- Service animals for patrons with disabilities
- Single collapsible lawn chairs
- Blankets
- Umbrellas may be brought in, but fans may be asked to put them down in concert areas to allow guests access to stage viewing
- Non-professional cameras – no removable lens
- Wheelchairs/medical scooters
- Strollers
Items to leave at home:
- Coolers, outside food or beverage including water, glass bottles or glass containers
- Pets
- Frisbees, scooters, wagons, skateboards, bicycles or skates
- Professional still or video cameras
- Selfie sticks
- Glow and laser products
- Sports balls and water guns
- Weapons, knives, firearms or explosive products are not permitted
- Drones
SunFest is an enforced drone-free event. All bags and items are subject to inspection. SunFest reserves the right to deny entry or remove from the festival anyone in violation of these policies. Fans are also asked to be vigilant and take care in handling their cellphones. SunFest has a lost & found where fans can file a claim and browse lost items.
