After a two and a half month break, Skillet, with the current lineup of John Cooper on bass and lead vocals, his wife Corey Cooper on rhythm guitar and keyboards, Jen Ledger on drums and Vocals and Brent Morrison – lead guitar, stormed their way into the American Music Theater in Lancaster, PA on Thursday February 26, 2026. After opening act, The Protest performed a 45-minute set, Skillet, led by lead vocalist John Cooper, rocked the stage opening with Invincible and kept on rolling from there. One thing front and center for both The Protest and Skillet’s sets was their faith, placed on full display for all in attendance to hear.
Skillet ran through their hits, from Awake and Alive, Never Surrender, Hero, and Monster and ended their encore with Resistance. Prior to Performing Hero, John Cooper, spoke about meeting a young fan in the audience before the performance and talking about his courage going through his recovery from an auto immune disease. Cooper then spoke about his biggest hero, Jesus Christ. Skillet openly expresses their faith and beliefs, which are evident throughout the lyrics of their songs.
While performing “Sick of It,” Cooper stopped singing allowing the audience to handle the chorus as they shouted out “I’m sick of it.” Skillet brought their high energy throughout their entire 90-minute seventeen song set with fans interacting with the entire performance with the band, singing along, jumping up and down, singing along and clapping along the entire night.
