Saving Abel is a post-grunge, American rock band from Mississippi founded in 2004. Current members include co-founder and lead vocalist Jared Weeks, co-founder Jason Null (guitar, backing vocals), Scott Bartlett (guitar, backing vocals), Dave Moraata (drums) and Scott Wilson (bass). For this show, Matt Deis from the band All That Remains subbed for Scott Wilson on bass.
Lead single ‘Addicted’ was released in March 2008 and was followed by the self-titled album ‘Saving Abel’. The album was certified gold in March 2009 due to ‘Addicted’ rising to No. 2 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs Chart and No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart later certifying platinum. ‘Baptize Me’ is their 5th album following ‘Saving Abel’ (2008), ‘Miss America’ (2010), ‘Bringing Down the Giant’ (2012) and ‘Bloodstained Revolution’ (2014).
Promoting their new lead single ‘Baptize Me’ released in April 2023, the band brought their style of southern rock back to the stage and performed a 90-minute plus set. Some songs in the setlist included Hell of a Ride, Stupid Girl, My Catastrophe, Miss America, Mississippi Moonshine, 18 Days, Drowning and of course Baptize Me and Addicted.
