Saliva, EarShot, The Founder, and LYLVC live at the McHenry Vixen 9-10-2025
Last Wednesday the McHenry Vixen was once again packed with a high-energy night that balanced nostalgia with fresh sounds. LYLVC (pronounced “lilac”) opened strong, with their dynamic performance led by singers Alyse and Oscar, trading off melodic and rap vocals that gave their set a unique edge. Blending their spin on hybrid rock, hip-hop, electronica and metal with high energy. Their new single ‘Barely Human’ is out now, go check them out and enjoy. Up next, The Founder with frontman Austin Winkler brought undeniable charisma and had the crowd singing along to one of his most famous songs ‘Lips of an angel’. The Founder has recently released a new single ‘F the world’, go check it out today. Earshot with frontman Wil Martin followed with their signature alternative metal style, reminding everyone why their songs like ‘Wait’ and even newer songs like ‘Uninvited’ still resonate after all these years. The band will be releasing a new album this fall, ‘Humaning’ be sure to check it out when it drops. Finally, Saliva closed out the night with their crazy raw power, running through their hits with their new single, ‘Hit ‘em where it hurts!’ This is my second time seeing the band Saliva since former singer Josey Scott had left the band and seeing Bobby Amaru’s performance with his bandmates, they did not disappoint one bit. Go check out their new deluxe album ‘Revelation, Retold’.
Overall, the energy never dipped. A must-see tour for fans of both classic and modern rock.
