The Rush Tribute Project, consisting of Bill Heck (guitars, pedals and vocals), Sean Jones (bass, keyboards, pedals and lead vocals), and Thomas Slawnik, (drums and cymbals) with their collective talent bring a show that pays homage to the great band RUSH.   They go thru the band’s extensive collection of 40 plus years of classic hits like Limelight, Closer To The Heart, Tom Sawyer, Test for Echo, Vital Signs, YYZ and countless others that put RUSH at the top of the list of a great many classic rock bands of that era.

With visually engaging screen projections and an exciting light show that captivated the audience of die hard Rush fans, it was one for the books as they went thru their paces and delivered a show that the most dedicated Rush aficionado would’ve been extremely happy with.

The show at the Palladium Times Square went on for a solid 3 hours and the crowd of avid fans were more than thrilled at the setlist and lightshow.  The musicianship combined with the lightshow was certainly a tribute to the talents of the band that has earned “Best Tribute Band” 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021.

Each member contributes greatly to recreating the live concert sounds of RUSH fame.  Bill Heck with his talents on the guitar and rich vocals creates that rocking sound that sometimes leaves you wondering just how many guitars are up there.  Sean Jones on bass and keyboards as well as lead vocals certainly pays a tremendous tribute to Geddy Lee of RUSH.  A tremendous feat doing the triple duty is the makings of a true rock star.  Thomas Sławnik does a fantastic job on drums and even resembles Neil Peart complete with headgear and his stoic expression while energetically playing drums.

This band does justice to the name of RUSH and then some.  They rocked the house and left everyone in the audience chanting for an encore much the way RUSH was encouraged back in the day.  Catch this group and you will not be disappointed.  They are a REAL RUSH!!!
