A beautiful summer day in a venue on the shore of Lake Michigan was the setting for a Sunday of music. Paris Jackson, the daughter of Michael opened, offering a sampling of her songwriting and performing skills. Already a successful model, she is currently on tour with headliners Incubus. Texas rockers Giovanni and the Hired Guns brought their brand of Country-rock with a slightly Latin vibe next and got the crowd in the mood. They were followed by Bad Flower, a grunge- rock band from Los Angeles.
As the sun set, a cool breeze blew gently off the lake and a nearly full moon rose over the water. Incubus was definitely the artist everyone came to see and whatever seats were empty early on filled up. Those that came were certainly not disappointed. The band played 19 songs, including a cover of The Beatles’ “Come Together”.
This tour will cover almost two dozen cities and concludes in October on the West Coast.
