Peter Wolf and Super Soul Banned

What do you get when you have a beautiful summer night and a great mix of music? You have Steve Jordan’s Super Soul Banned and Peter Wolf live at Lincoln Center Out of Doors at Damrosch Park entertaining you for hours AND..it’s free!

The Super Soul Banned, made up of the amazing horn section including Wayne Cobham, Eddie Allen, Clifton Anderson, Clark Gayton, Steve Jordan on drums, Willie Weeks on bass, Mix Master Mike, Isaiah Sharkey and Ray Parker Jr. on guitar had the audience up and dancing for their entire wonderful set.

Next came Peter Wolf, former frontman of the J Geils Band. At age 72, he moves and looks decades younger. Singing hits such as “Looking for a Love,” “Love Stinks,” “I Don’t Wanna Know” and “Riverside Drive,” he didn’t disappoint anyone in the crowd. With his long hair blowing in the wind, his vocals matched his band-sensational. Ending his set with “House Party,” it was just that-a big house party with thousands of your friends.

Lincoln Center Out of Doors is a great place to see music every summer. Make sure to check their schedule and head out for a great night.
