Nick Carter, singer, songwriter and actor best known in the late 1990s and early 2000s as the youngest member of the popular boy band, the Backstreet Boys, brought his “Who Am I” 2023 solo tour to the Bergen PAC in Englewood, NJ on Sunday, November 12, 2023. The tour, following release of his new single “Hurts to Love You”, spans across the months of October & November 2023. The concert featured a mix of old and new music plus special covers creating fun new moments with his fans.
His 28-song set started off as he and his band took the stage opening with the Backstreet Boys song “Larger Than Life”. Some covers included “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” (Tears for Fears), “Sunglasses at Night” (Corey Hart), “Don’t You Forget About Me” (Simple Minds), “Dirty Laundry” (Don Henley) and “Private Eyes” (Hall & Oates) to name a few. Of course, some Backstreet Boys hits were also part of the line-up as well as his original music. It was a fun night singing some nostalgic music.
Opening the show and providing support for Nick were two artists, Caldwell, a South Carolina native, and Texas native Carly Waddell. The music performed by Nick and his band made for a fun night with many sing-along moments for his fans who were on their feet from start to finish. Definitely a show worth seeing if you get the chance.
