Joanne Shaw Taylor
At
SONY HALL
Oh the anticipation!!! Finally!! I got to see and hear JOANNE SHAW TAYLOR!!! Gotta say, it was well worth the wait and left me wanting for a whole bunch more. This young lady has the chops and she definitely holds her own with the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Samantha Fish, Ana Popovic, and Susan Tedeschi just to name a few.
This award winning British blues/rock guitarist certainly can belt a good blues tune and personally had me with her vocal abilities as well as her command of her instrument. She had an energy that had the audience rocking the whole night as she and her band went through their paces.
This powerhouse guitar player ever since being discovered by Eurythmics Dave Stewart at the young age of 16 has been breaking and making records and has become a highly recognized player in the Blues/Rock community.
Joanne Shaw Taylor has that quality that comes with a whole boxful of treats when it comes down to blues and rock. She’s a presence on stage with her long blond hair, her powerful voice which can be strong and raspy and can be changed up to be smooth and silky when its called for. This lady knows the blues and she delivers like a true veteran of the genre.
On a personal note, I thoroughly enjoyed shooting this artist, her energy, her ability to get her audience totally involved in her performance. Oh let’s not forget the fabulous hair flips!!! A totally enjoyable performance. A must see artist!!!
