Jesse Welles with guest Margo Price

NYC does not disappoint. On a random Tuesday if you’re in the right place at the right time you will get to see an impromptu pop-up concert in Washington Square with Jesse Welles singing his popular songs including “United Health,” “War Isn’t Murder,” and a newer “Red.” And, just when everyone thought it couldn’t get any better, Margo Price joins him for a rendition of John Prine’s “Angel From Montgomery.” The light was golden the experience so intimate he didn’t use a microphone. It was hard for those not close to hear, and when someone said they were going to see his next show and asked for him to use a mic, he joked back and said “they have mics there.” Enjoy these photos from a very special event.
