Good Morning America 2023 Summer Concert Series-50th Years of Hip Hop-NYC

Good Morning America 2023 Summer Concert Series is celebrating the 50th Years of Hip Hop. 

On August 11th, the show featured Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Busta Rhymes with special guest, BIA and new artist, Spliff Star. The event included a fashion show of the “looks” worn by hip-hop megastars throughout the years, hosted by Tiffany Reid (Senior VP for Bustle Digital Group) and stylist, Joe Zee.  

Fat Joe, the Grammy-nominated rapper, witness the birth of hip hop growing up in the Bronx. Over a thirty year career he has put out thirteen albums, started his own record label and now hosts “The Fat Joe Show” and the BET Hip Hop Awards. Remy M, American rapper, debut on the scene when she was discovered by Big Pun but became better known as a member of Fat Joe’s “Terror Squad”. She is a multiple winner of the BET Award for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, two Vibe Awards and four times nominee for Grammys. Together with her husband, Papoose, she stars in the reality show “Love & Hip Hop: New York”.  Her album releases include such artists as Lil’Kim, Chris Brown and French Montana. Since 2018, she has appeared as a host on the talk show, “State of Culture”.  

Busta Rhymes is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. He has released ten solo albums and received twelve Grammy nominations and is a sought after solo artist appearing on many tracks for other artists. Rhymes list of hits include “”Woo-Hah!! Got You All in Check”, “It’s a Party”, “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See”, “Dangerous”, “Turn It Up”, “Fire It Up”, “Gimme Some More”, “What’s It Gonna Be?”, “Pass the Courvoisier, Part II”, “I Know What You Want” and “Touch It”, some of which he sang for the GMA audience. GMA produced a great show. The audience was enthusiastic and excited to see their favorite Hi Hop performers live and the opportunity to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop.
