Glen David Andrews Band

I got to see the Glen David Andrews band tonite at Midnight by Navaros in New York City and was so excited to hear that he is doing his first residency out of New Orleans there. Andrews promises to bring “an authentic taste of New Orleans” to this New York City venue every month. The intimate space is luxurious and comfortable, allowing for Glen David Andrews signature party vibe to shine through. His powerful voice fills the space, with or without the mic, bringing people to their feet, clapping, dancing and waving their napkins. He makes it even more personal as he walks through the audience throughout the show, connecting on a deeper level. We also had a New Orleans moment outside, walking through the streets, dancing to the music with the smiles of onlookers who were able to share the moment to joy.

Andrews was accompanied by a stage full of talented musicians. Peanut’s energy and skill on the Trombone, Will Caroll on the drums, Brett Gartner wailing on guitar and Laura, from the Brass Queens, on tuba all played with skill and strength the iconic music.

Throughout the evening Glen David Andrews celebrates his fellow musicians, loves the audience and brings it for the whole show. I look forward to seeing him as a regular in New York City!
