Engelbert Humperdinck knows how to entertain a crowd. Humperdinck has been described as “one of the finest middle-of-the-road balladeers around” according to wikipedia. Dressed in a nice blue suit with a red shirt underneath, he appeared on stage with a warm friendly smile ready to thrill the audience at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey. Usually at concerts, you see a stream of young people all holding their cell phones in the air over their heads-both taking still photos and video and tonight was no different, except the average age of the audience was about 70. The sign of a great performer is when they are finished and their audience wants more..and this is what Mr. Humperdinck did-he left his audience begging for more.
