American folk-rock singer-songwriter Don McClean performed on the 250th Anniversary of the United States as the featured headliner for the Stars and stripes Fireworks Celebration in Sandy Springs.
The concert as a once-in-a-generation celebration, highlighting that McLean’s signature song, “American Pie,” would provide the soundtrack for the nation’s semiquincentennial (250th birthday).
