The Dance Kid Dance Tour hit Madison Square Garden in NYC on July 20th. Featuring Shinedown with Bush as their supporting act, Bush was touring on the latest album- “I Beat Loneliness,” which dropped two days before the show. Their 11 song high energy setlist consisted of new and old material including 3 from the new album. Gavin Rossdale is just as good today as when the band hit it big in the 90’s. His voice, energy, and guitar playing are incredible. The band is tight and sounding better than ever. Bush was the perfect opener for Shinedown. So happy for them, and love that they are still putting out great new music. Congrats boys on a wonderful, triumphant return to MSG. Shinedown hit the stage at 9 and for the next two hours they destroyed MSG. It was their first time headlining there, and they couldn’t have been more excited to be there. The light and pyrotechnic show were second to none. The stage and catwalk were awesome. Everyone had a great seat. It was like they were playing in the round, but it was better. Brent Smith, the lead singer, is out of this world. I was exhausted just watching him. He was everywhere. His voice is one of the best in rock today. The 18 song setlist had something for everyone. It truly was one of the best rock shows I have seen there. I was so happy to be able to capture some moments of their awesome accompaniment. Not many get that chance, and not many could make a sold out crowd very, very happy.
