Caroline Rose

Caroline Rose painted the town red at the Bowery Ballroom while touring to promote her latest album Loner. She describes her style of music as, “pop, folk, punk, electronic and surf all thrown into a blender with a laddle full of cheeky satire.”

She is a serious songwriter that doesn’t take herself too seriously. Her songs take you on an irreverent, cynical, honest trip that will wrap you up in her words and chords before you know it. Some songs on the evening’s setlist were: More of the Same, Money, Getting to Me, Bikini, Soul No. 5 and Jeannie Becomes a Mom.

Originally from Long Island, the hometown crowd (and her Mom in the audience) gave her a huge welcome. There was lots of dancing and cheers at the Bowery Ballroom, a music venue she told the crowd that she would “sneak into when she was 17.”

If you love Blondie, Kate Bush or the Yeah, Yeah, Yeah’s you will really want to check out Loner by Caroline Rose. Next tour stop is Toronto on November 6th.
