Burrito Brothers – Album Release

This is a peak time for the great Burrito Brothers, so give the superb new album, “Together”, a full attentive listen.

These days, the band, who formed the current incarnation of the Burritos in 2009, and are now based in Nashville, features Chris P. James on keys and lead vocals, guitarist Steve Allen, Tony Paoletta on pedal steel and drummer Peter Young…all extremely talented musicians who love being involved with the band’s legacy and creating new music to keep that legacy alive.

So give the superb new album, “Together”, a full attentive listen and discover just how fine a record can be. This isn’t every day music. It’s not “the same old same old”. It’s musical magic that comes from a wealth of experience, conviction and talented know-how. And they add a sweet touch of psychedelic progressive artistry to basic home-spun feel of the mix. The result is a superb hybrid sound all their own. It defies genre generalization. It’s good. That’s all there is to it. Duke Ellington said there are only two kinds of music; good and bad. This is a peak time for the great Burrito Brothers. Golden moments are unfolding. If you get a chance to see the group perform a live show, you won’t be sorry.
