Bruce Springsteen Makes a Surprise Appearance in Asbury Park, NJ

Rock and roll superstar Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance tonight at the Stone Pony’s Summer Stage in Asbury Park, NJ, delighting the sold out crowd and hundreds more who were sitting on the grass outside and the boardwalk across the street. On a night where the rain was threatening, the man above knew to hold off on the storm so the thousands at the shore could have a great time.

Word started buzzing inside the summer stage area as well as all over the internet when photos of Springsteen started showing up of him in the crowd. He joined E Street Band Bass player Garry Tallent on “Dirty Rotten Shame” making the crowd go crazy with delight.

At 9:25pm, he came back onto the Summer Stage and performed 7 more songs with Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes:Sherry Darling,  The Fever, Talk to Me, Kitty’s Back,  I Don’t Want to Go Home,  Mona, Not Fade Away and  Havin’ A Party. Looking fit in jeans and a t-shirt and wearing a baseball hat, there certainly was a party at the Pony-the first time he performed there for the public since 2011.
