Blue Rodeo
Budweiser Stage
Toronto, Canada
August 27, 2022
Two hours with Blue Rodeo on a warm summer night, adjacent to both Lake Ontario and the return (after two canceled years) of the Canadian National Exhibition. We walked through the midway past the rides, games, food booths (ketchup and mustard flavoured ice cream is this year’s media buzz) on our way to the waterfront from the transit loop. The fair had its start in 1879 and the long lines and large crowds are for families and the younger set, but it was nice to see so many people having a day out.
As for the show, Blue Rodeo can and does bring it every time when it comes to superb musicianship.
Vocal harmonies from Jim and Greg-check.
Great bass lines from Bazil-check.
Solos from just about everyone-check.
Plans to attend again next summer-check.
